Square mesh

Expanded metal with square mesh allows a greater percentage of open space to be achieved than the one with diamond mesh. Due to this property it is often used in air conditioning systems for ventilation as part of air conditioning. This type of expanded metal is often supplied in a flattened version. The flattened design is characterized by a less sharp edge of the material and allows for easier insertion into the frames. Expanded metal with square mesh does not stand out to the space unlike the one with standard diamond mesh.

The expanded metal is produced according to the standard DIN 791.
